Helical gear
Helical gears are cylindrical gears with helical teeth. Compared with spur gears, helical gears have the advantages of smooth transmission, good meshing performance, high degree of coincidence, high gear strength, quietness, and low vibration. They can also transmit high power.
Helical gears are different from spur gears because their tooth lines are helical and can generate axial thrust. The thrust can be eliminated by thrust bearings or left and right helical gears combined with herringbone gears. A pair of meshing helical gears must have The same helix angle and opposite helix direction.
